Happiness is something that everyone aspires and it is almost everyone’s goal in life. It lies in the smallest things like a cup of coffee or the big things like getting a job.It is a state of mind filled with joy without any worries or sorrow. It is something that makes a human life worth living.
When we see our surroundings, we see people struggling with a lot of things. Humans are surrounded by a lot of problems and insecurities. When we think about happiness, we only perceive it as something which we will achieve by doing something ourselves but it is not always the case, as happiness is infectious. We can achieve it by keeping people around us happy as our lives are highly affected by the surrounding people. When we help our loved ones from their struggles, we feel a sense of fulfillment. Kindness is a universal language as it crosses all the barriers set by society. When we talk about lightening the burden of others, it doesn’t always necessarily mean to provide a big help but it can be as simple as making someone laugh, listening to someone without judgement, giving time to love ones, accepting people for whom they are or just asking people how they have been. It also means to use only kind words whenever we talk to people and not hurting anyone. Humans can only function in society by being there for each other and this is what being a human is about after all, this pandemic is a perfect example. Whenever we purchase something for ourselves we feel like this will make us happy but this is not true. That kind of happiness is short-lived but when we help other people we feel happy and contented for a long time, and this feeling is what happiness is. As charity begins at home, one should make sure that they are kind to their family members, communicate to them and help them through rough times. There are many underprivileged people in our society who are in a need of our help and deep compassion. All we can do is to be kind and sympathetic towards them. And, in results, there will be an everlasting sense of fulfillment and happiness within us.
