Blood Donation Camp was organized by SFC Foundations-Chandigarh in collaboration with Red Cross Society Old Age Home (Sector 15 Panchkula) through which more than 120 units of blood was donated by both students and of volunteer members of NGOs like Empowering Hands and Himalayan Foundation.
It is a way of SFC; tricity gesture in bringing a ray of hope to contribute to the serious problems of acutes shortage of blood. The camp was inaugurated by IPS Rani Sachdeva, Director, CTDI, Sector 36 Chandigarh.
Consequently, a team of doctors and nurses from the blood bank had reached on time i.e. at 9:30 to collect the blood. A large number of students and youngsters along with teachers with beaming faces and proud heart has contributed for the cause. The donars were provided with some light refreshment by the authorities and a token of appreciation and gratitude was given to them in the form a sapling.
The blood donation camp came to an end at 2:00 PM with an honorary ceremony given to the members of blood bank and Red Cross Society’s Head, Mr. Gambhir by President Disha Goyal and General Secretary, Ankita Marya of SFC Foundations
