“The sole meaning of life is to serve humanity.”
Humanity is the biggest religion. It is a blessing to be born as a human being as they possess the ability of complex reasoning, ability to solve difficult problems and introspection and most importantly kindness, generosity and ability to help other species. They have a highly developed brains that allows them to think wisely in every situation like other co-species.
Kindness is the best form of humanity. Human beings can use all the means to help the needy and deprived. And what good of a human when he can’t see the sufferings of others or he can’t extend a helping hand to them? God has created a variety of species but he gave the most productive powers to a human. He made humans superior of all so that they live affectionately with others and be a blessing in disguise for them. To be a man is to feel that one’s own stone contributes to building the edifice of the world.
There have been many people like Mother Teresa who have lived selflessly for others. They have shown to the world the true meaning of humanity. Mother Teresa gave up her home and safety to be more like the poor to make them feel better and less unworthy to the help she offered. She took care of poor people not only when they were sick or fed them when they were hungry, she gave them what they needed the most- unconditional love and that’s all that matters. She has taught us that “Humanity should be our race and love should be our religion.”
Charlie Chaplin said, “We think too much and feel too little, more than machinery we need humanity, more than cleverness we need kindness and gentleness.”
Humanity is not merely about not being cruel to others but being generous to others. To pass over the street seeing a crying baby isn’t humanity but consoling him is. To stand in the crowd around an injured person isn’t humanity but calling an ambulance is. The world will not be destroyed by those who do evil but by those who watch them without doing anything.
To fulfill the objectives assigned to us by God and to encourage others to do the same, we should form a HUMANITY CHAIN as exhibited in the Hindi movie “JAI HO”. We should start with ourselves and help any underprivileged person and ask him to help three other people in need. In this way, humanity will always be eternal.
To conclude with
“Being human is given but keeping our humanity is a choice”
