To fall in love with yourself is the first secret to happiness
Happiness is something everyone aspires. It is the ultimate goal of every human being. We often try to find it in external world, materialistic things and other people around us. But we often forget that no matter how much we try, we can never completely be happy until and unless we start loving ourselves. When one falls in love with oneself, they see the world from a completely different perspective and it builds up positive thoughts in their minds. Everything feels heightened to them, be it love, joy, enthusiasm or peace. Loving yourself is the key to a merry lifestyle. There’s a tremendous amount of joy that rises inside you, when you start exploring yourself, what are your desires, what is your life’s purpose and various other things.
But self love seems an easy task for some people but it is not the case for everyone. Life is just harder for some people than the others. They face more struggles, hardships, trauma and mental health issues and therefore they find it difficult to love themselves. The question arises that how to love ourselves in such situations. First step is healing. Healing from the things that have been bothering someone, giving ourselves appropriate time and accepting ourselves. Infact, self acceptance it the first step towards self love. We also have to remember that even if we are just a person in front of the crowd of billions in this world, the existence of each and every being depends upon how each person thinks of themselves and how much do they love themselves. After all, we can see and experience the world because we as ourselves exist. It is said that the personality of a person reflects his attitude towards himself, the more you think good and positive about yourself the more you radiate it and it comes back to you.
Lastly, being in love with yourself can nurture you. You come to know about yourself more. You know what are the things that give you pain or hurt you. So, you should have that much courage to handle yourself. Be ready to take responsibilities for your feelings and then act accordingly. Nevertheless, you’ll cope up with the pain and will gain that much power to face your own challenges. So yes, loving yourself is a huge blessing because you get to know yourself better, your beliefs, your calibre, your strengths and weaknesses and definitely that is a big step.
Someone has rightly said that, “Owning our story and loving ourselves through that process is the bravest thing that we’ll ever do.”
